WHY THE NAME “OUTBACK TOYS”?
We’re frequently asked how Outback Toys was named, and it’s a story we love to tell.
Since the founding of Binkley and Hurst in the late 1930s, we’ve had unique acce to small replicas of branded farm equipment through our relationships with agriculture equipment manufacturers. Originally, we displayed these replicas and farm toys for sale in our parts department. But over time, our farm toys became so popular that we had to build a separate facility for them behind our parts department just to keep up with the demand. When customers would come in asking where the toys had moved to, we let me know that they were “out back” and the name stuck. In 2007, we moved to our current location on Lincoln Avenue in Lititz, Pennsylvania.
